About her:

Sabine Hornig is an expert on the European Union (EU) single market and legislative process with more than 15 years of experience in Brussels and EU aviation policy making. Since 2016 she represents the interests of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, the German air navigation service provider. Being responsible for the relations with the EU institutions and other stakeholders, she is working to ensure that the interests and needs of the ATM community are duly recognized and taken into account in EU legislation. Especially automation and digitalisation are becoming increasingly important in the whole aviation industry, as in other areas. Having worked for IATA and the Lufthansa Group earlier in her career she is a bridge builder between the different parts of the aviation value chain and an advocate for the benefits of aviation and the interests of the whole aviation industry. Sabine is a qualified lawyer and was admitted to the bar in Germany in 2003. In addition to her law degree, she studied economics and international relations in Germany and the UK.
