WAL press conference at WCS.png

Women in Aviation and Logistics (WAL) launched new mentorship scheme and resource hub to host its searchable female speaker database at a press conference event during the IATA's World Cargo Symposium 2021 in Dublin.

WAL has developed a new online hub at with resources to facilitate and support mentors and mentees, who are asked to commit to a minimum of four hours over fourth months..

Launch event

Over 70 supporters joined the first Women in Aviation and Logistics Seminar on 23 March 2021, featuring an invited speaker Henrik Kofod-Hansen, Co-Founder of Novosensus, who highlighted that while only 13% of senior leaders are female, research shows they make better leaders when scored across a variety of categories.

Delegates agreed that the lack of gender equality within the aviation and logistics sectors is very visible at events, in the media and in senior leadership representation, especially at Board Room level.
